Asian Games: Women’s kabaddi team has settled for a bronze medal
The Nepali women’s kabaddi team has settled for a bronze medal at the ongoing 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan. Nepal was restricted to bronze after suffering a 48–24 defeat against India in the semifinal held on Friday. With this victory, India has advanced to the final.
Nepal had previously secured a place in the semifinals by defeating Sri Lanka 34–25 on Thursday. Earlier in the tournament, Nepal suffered a loss to Chinese Taipei but bounced back with a win over Thailand.
The women’s kabaddi team, which made history by clinching bronze at the 19th Asian Games, has repeated history by securing bronze once again. With this, Nepal has earned its second bronze medal in the ongoing Asian Games.
