ICC T-20 CWC : Australia reaches to Super 8
Australia has reached the Super 8 of the ongoing T20 World Cup. Australia reached the Super 8 of the World Cup after defeating Namibia in the Wednesday morning match under Group B.
Chasing the target of only 73 runs given by Namibia, Australia achieved the target by losing one wicket in 5.4 overs.
Earlier, Namibia batted first and scored only 72 runs in 17 overs. For Namibia, captain Gerhard Erasmus scored 36 runs while Michael van Lingen scored 10 runs.
Australian bowler Adam Zampa took 4 wickets with excellent bowling while destroying Namibia’s batting. Zampa gave away 12 runs in 4 overs and took 4 wickets.
After the tournament, Australia is in the top position with 6 points after winning 3 matches in Group B and now it has been selected for Super 8.
Similarly, this is Namibia’s second defeat in the third game. With 2 points in 3 matches, Namibia is out of the Super 8 race. Earlier in this group, Oman was also out of the Super 8 race. In Group B, Scotland is in the second place with 5 points from 3 games, while England is at the fourth place with 1 point from 2 games.
