Nepal beats South Australia by 2 wickets on Rohit’s century
Nepal has defeated South Australia. Nepal defeated South Australia by 2 wickets in the ODI match held on Saturday. Chasing a target of 243 runs set by South Australia, Nepal achieved the target in 44.1 overs, losing 8 wickets.
Captain Rohit Poudel scored a century of 101 runs while Sompal Kami contributed a crucial unbeaten 38 runs to lead Nepal to victory. Rohit and Sompal shared an 83-run partnership for the ninth wicket to guide Nepal to victory.
Earlier, South Australia, who had lost the toss and elected to bat first, were all out in 45 overs, scoring 242 runs. Nepali bowlers Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav took 3 wickets each, while Rupesh Singh, Sandeep Lamichhane and Shahab Alam took one wicket each.
The Nepali team had lost both the T20 matches they had played against South Australia in the practice matches. Nepal had won both the matches they had played against Cricket Australia earlier. With this, the Nepali national cricket team’s tour of Australia has come to an end.
