Gaurishankar Super League U-17 Cricket Tournament begins
The Gaurishankar Super League U-17 Cricket Tournament officially commenced with a vibrant opening ceremony, marking a significant step in promoting youth cricket and nurturing emerging talent. The tournament is being organized by the Gaurishankar Cricket Academy, which continues to play a vital role in developing grassroots cricket.
The opening ceremony was graced by chief guest Biswash Karki, Chairman of Gaurishankar, along with distinguished guest Bishal Khadka, former Minister of Forests & Environment. Their presence added prestige to the event and highlighted the growing importance of youth sports initiatives in the region.
Special guests at the ceremony included Chhumbi Lama, spokesperson of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN); Raju Basnyat, former player and coach; and Ashish Ghising from the District Sports Development Committee.
