Electrifying win for Nepal, Nepal into semi-final as Group Winner

Nepal became the winner of the group and reached the semi-finals of the ongoing SAFF Women’s Championship in Kathmandu.

In the last match of the group stage, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka by 6-0 and Nepal became the group winner.

For Nepal, Rekha Paudel scored 2 goals while Savitra Bhandari, Amisha Karki, Sabita Rana Magar, and Rashmi Kumari Ghising scored one goal each.

After this win, Nepal has 7 points in 3 games in Group B and has risen to the top position. Similarly, Bhutan, who had 7 points in 4 matches, reached the semi-finals by becoming the runner-up based on goal difference.

Now Nepal will play Group A runner-up India in the semi-finals, while Bhutan will play Group A winner Bangladesh. The semi-final matches will be held on 27 October.
