ICC T-20 CWC : Uganda all out in 39 runs, wide margin win for West Indies
West Indies have won their second consecutive victory in the ICC T-20 Cricket World Cup. West Indies defeated Uganda by a wide margin of 134 runs in the match completed on Sunday morning.
Chasing the target of 174 runs given by the West Indies, Uganda scored only 39 runs in 12 overs. This is the lowest total in the history of T20 World Cup.
Earlier in the 2014 World Cup, the Netherlands were bowled out for 39 runs against Sri Lanka. Apart from Zuma Miyagi scoring 13 runs for Uganda, no other batsman could score double-digit runs.
Similarly, West Indies bowler Aqeel Hussain took 5 wickets by giving 11 runs in 4 overs. He became the first bowler to take 5 wickets in this World Cup.
Earlier, after winning the toss, West Indies, who batted first, made 173 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
After this win, West Indies have 4 points in 2 matches in Group C and are in second place. Earlier, West Indies defeated PNG in the first match. Similarly, Uganda has 2 points in 3 games. Now West Indies are scheduled to play their next match against New Zealand on June 13. Similarly, Uganda will play their last match of the group stage against New Zealand on June 15.
