Nepal wins the ACC Premier Cup 2023, qualifies for Asia cup 2023

Nepal has won the ACC Premier Cup 2023. Nepal defeated UAE by 7 wickets and won the title of ACC Premier Cup and was selected for the Asia Cup
Nepal achieved the target of 118 runs given by UAE by losing 3 wickets in 30.3 overs.

Gulshan Jha and Bhim Sarki shared a brilliant unbeaten 96-run partnership when Nepal came under pressure when Nepal lost three consecutive wickets. Gulshan Jha scored 67 runs while Bhim Sarki scored 36 runs. After scoring 22 runs and losing 2 wickets, Gulshan and Bhim batted patiently to give victory to Nepal.Before that, Nepal’s captain Rohit Paudel got out after scoring 1 run, while Kushal Bhurtel got out after scoring 1 run and Asif Sheikh got out after scoring 8 runs.

Earlier, UAE, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 117 runs in 33.1 overs and were all out. After rain stopped the game on Monday, UAE lost their last wicket after scoring only 11 runs in the match that started today.

UAE batsman Junaid Siddiqui scored 10 runs, Asif Khan 46, Zahoor Khan 0, Ayan Khan 5, Basil Hamid 10, Rohan Mustafa 2, Ramiz Shahzad 1, Aryan Lakra 13, Vritya Arvind 8 and captain Mohammad Wasim 11. Lalit Rajbanshi has taken the most 4 wickets for Nepal. Lalit took 4 wickets for 14 runs with 2 maidens in 7.1 overs.Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets each while Sompal Kami and Gulshan Jhale took one wicket each.

The Asia Cup is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in September, but the tension between India and Pakistan has caused confusion. The Asia Cup is now in confusion due to India not going to play in Pakistan and Pakistan Cricket Board not allowing it to be held in other countries.

With the completion of the ACC Premier Cup, the equation of the Asia Cup has also been completed. According to which Nepal will be playing in Group A along with India, Pakistan, while Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are in Group B.
