Nepal’s victory against Chinese Taipei
Nepal has won 2-0 against Chinese Taipei in the World Cup and Asia qualifiers. Anjan Bista and Nawayug Shrestha scored goals for Nepal in the match played at Jaber Al Ahmed International Stadium in Kuwait City

Nepal dominated Chinese Taipei in the second round of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Asia Cup in China. Nepal took the lead in the fourth minute through a penalty kick by Anjan Bista. Nepal was leading 1-0 in the first half and scored another goal in the second half.

Nawayug Shrestha, who entered the field in the second half towards the end of the second half, scored an attractive goal in the 82nd minute to give Nepal a 2-0 victory. Earlier, Nepal had defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 in the first round. This is Nepal’s second victory in the competition.
After the victory, Nepal is in the fourth position of the table. Australia is first, Kuwait is second and Jordan is third. Australia has 12 points and Kuwait and Jordan have the same 10 points. Nepal has reached 6 points while Chinese Taipei is scoreless after losing all the games. Nepal is scheduled to play its next match against Jordan on June 7 and Australia on June 10.
