Top End T-20 series: Nepal eliminated, Nepal lost to Shaheens by 1 run

Nepal lost to Pakistan Shaheens by one run. Nepal, chasing a target of 145 runs set by Pakistan Shaheens in the ongoing Top End T20 series in Australia, lost by one run after scoring 143 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

For Nepal, captain Rohit Poudel top-scored with 52 runs, while Dipendra Singh Airee scored an unbeaten 41. Similarly, Aasif Sheikh scored 27 runs and Lokesh Bam scored 10 runs. Pakistan Shaheens bowler Muhammad Wasim Jr. took 2 wickets.

Earlier, Pakistan Shaheens, who had won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 144 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. For Pakistan, Irfan Khan Niaz top-scored with an unbeaten 42 runs, while Abdul Samad scored 26, Muhammad Wasim Jr. scored 23, and Yasir Khan scored 18 runs.

Sompal Kami took 3 wickets, while Nandan Yadav and Dipendra Singh Airee took 2 each, and Kushal Bhurtel took one wicket. With this defeat, Nepal’s top team has been eliminated from the series, while Pakistan Shaheens have reached the semifinals.
