PM CUP : Fifth consecutive win for NPC
Nepal Police Club has won the fifth consecutive victory in the ongoing PM Cup. Nepal Police Club defeated Madhesh Province by 6 wickets in the match held at Mulpani Cricket Ground today.
Chasing the target of just 97 runs set by Madhesh Province in , Nepal Police Club achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 18.3 overs.
Earlier, Madhesh Province lost the toss and batted first and scored only 96 runs in 24 overs.
For Madhesh Pradesh, captain Harishankar Shah scored 22 runs , Arniko Yadav scored 23 runs and Abhishek Tiwari scored 11 runs. Apart from these, other batsmen of Madhesh could not score runs in double figures.
Sagar Dhakal took the most 5 wickets for Nepal Police Club while Lalit Rajbanshi took 4 wickets.
After this win, Nepal Police Club has 10 points in 5 games and is in the top position. Madhesh province suffered its third defeat. Madhesh Pradesh has 8 points in 7 games and is second in the points table.
