Lockie Ferguson’s new record bowls four maiden over

New Zealand has ended its journey in T20 World Cup with victory. In the final match of Group C, New Zealand defeated Papua New Guinea by 7 wickets to complete their journey to the World Cup.

After losing the toss, Papua New Guinea, who batted first, were bowled out for 78 runs in 19.4 overs. New Zealand achieved the target of 79 runs by losing 3 wickets in 12.2 overs. New Zealand bowler Lockie Ferguson has set a new record.

He took 3 wickets for zero runs in 4 overs against Papua New Guinea. He has created a new record by bowling all four over maidens in his quota. He became the first bowler to bowl maidens in all four overs in the T20 World Cup. He took 3 wickets for zero runs in 4 overs against Papua New Guinea.

Also, Ferguson has become the second bowler in the world to bowl all maiden overs in T20 international matches. Before him, Canada’s Saad Bin Zafar took 2 wickets in the match played against Panama in 2021 by making four overs.

New Zealand failed to reach the Super Eight of the World Cup after losing their first two matches in this World Cup.
