NSL : Valley derby ended in a draw

Kathmandu Rangers have avoided defeat against defending champions Lalitpur City FC in the Nepal Super League (NSL) Valley Derby with a penalty goal from Vincent Koziello.

Lalitpur and Kathmandu drew 2-2 in the opening match of the third edition, which began on Saturday at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor.

Lalitpur’s Jonathan Eduardo and Aditya Shakya scored the goals. Kathmandu’s Omodou Diop and Vincent scored the goals. Foreign player Jonathan gave Lalitpur the early lead within five minutes of the game.

Diop tried to bring Kathmandu back into the game by scoring in the 75th minute. Diop converted a pass from substitute Jelespijang Karki. Vincent saved Kathmandu from defeat by scoring a penalty in injury time
