Gaurika fails to qualify for next round but sets new national record
In the Women’s 100m Freestyle , Nepali national swimmer Gaurika Singh has set a new national record at Tokyo Olympics 2020 currently being held at Tokyo, Japan.
Singh finished the course in 1.0011 second and set a new national record. Earlier, Nepal’s national record for Women Swimming 100m Freestyle was 1.0062 minutes which was also set by Singh herself in 2019.
Singh was able to clinch four gold, two silver and three brunch medals in the 13th South Asian Games held in 2019. She had also represented Nepal at Rio Olympics 2016. However, Gaurika has failed to qualify for the next round.
