ICC T-20 CWC : Uganda seals first victory, Uganda beats PNG
Uganda has achieved its first victory in the ICC T-20 Cricket World Cup 2024. Uganda defeated PNG by 3 wickets in match that was held on Thursday morning.
Chasing the target of 78 runs given by PNG, Uganda achieved the target by losing 7 wickets in 18.2 overs.
After losing the toss and batting first, PNG scored only 77 runs in 19.1 overs.
This is Uganda’s first win in the second game in Group C. With this victory, Uganda has gained 2 important points. This is the first victory in the World Cup for Uganda, who is playing in the World Cup for the first time.
Likewise, PNG suffered its second consecutive defeat.
Now Uganda will play the next match against West Indies on June 9. Likewise, PNG will play their next match against Afghanistan on June 14.
