IPL 2024: Delhi Capitals seals first victory, DC beats CSK
Delhi Capitals have achieved their first victory under the Indian Premier League (IPL). Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs in the ongoing IPL.
Chasing the target of 192 runs given by Delhi Capitals, Chennai scored only 171 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. For Chennai, Ajinkya Rahane scored 45 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored an unbeaten 37 runs. Similarly, Daryl Mitchell scored 34 and Ravindra Jadeja scored 21 unbeaten runs.
Delhi bowler Mukesh Kumar took the most 3 wickets, while Khalil Ahmed took 2 wickets and Akxar Patel took one wicket.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Delhi batted first and scored 191 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. David Warner scored 52 and Rishav Pant scored 51 for Delhi. Similarly, Prithvi Shah scored 43 runs and Mitchell Marsh scored 18 runs.
This is Delhi Capitals’ first win in their third game this season. Delhi had lost both their opening matches of the season.
