Nepal Wins Series Against Malaysia Women 3-2 in Thrilling T20 Cricket Match

Nepal emerged victorious in the five-match T20 cricket series against Malaysia by 3-2 after the win in a final day.

Chasing Malaysia’s target of 110 runs set for victory, Nepal secured the win with 4 balls to spare, losing 7 wickets in the process.

Sita Rana Magar played a crucial role in Nepal’s victory, scoring 34 runs. Rubina Chhetri contributed 23 runs, while Apsari Begum scored 15 runs.

Batting first, Malaysia posted a total of 109 runs in 20 overs. Vanitha Jayaraman top-scored for Malaysia with 47 runs, followed by Winifred Duraisingam with 24 runs and Mahira Izhaar with 20 runs.

The opening partnership between Vanitha Jayaraman and Winifred Duraisingam added 38 runs. In the eighth over, Nepal’s Kavita Joshi dismissed Winifred, breaking their partnership. Joshi also took the wicket of Malaysia’s captain Mas Elysa.

Later, Vanitha Jayaraman and Mahira Izhaar combined for a 60-run partnership for the third wicket. Ishwari Vishtal claimed Mahira’s wicket in the 19th over, breaking their partnership.

In the final over, two Malaysian players were run out.

For Nepal, Kavita Joshi took 2 wickets, conceding only 12 runs in her 4 overs. Ishwari claimed 1 wicket, giving away 15 runs in her 2 overs.”
