Nepal’s winning start in Women’s Asia Cup

Nepal has made a winning start in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup 2024.

In the opening match , Nepal defeated UAE by 6 wickets. Chasing the target of 116 runs given by UAE, Nepal achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 16.1 overs. For Nepal, Zajan Khadka scored an unbeaten 72 runs while Rubina Chhetri scored 10 runs.

Earlier, UAE, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 115 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

For UAE, Khushi Sharma scored 36 runs, Kavisha Igodage scored 22 runs, Samira Dharnindharka scored 13 runs.

Similarly, Nepali bowler captain Indu Burma took the most 3 wickets while Sabnam Rai, Kabita Joshi and Kritika Marasini took one wicket each.
