ICC T-20 CWC : England into semi final

England has reached the semi-finals of the ongoing T-20 World Cup.

In the last match of the Super Eight, England secured their place in the semi-finals from Group 2 with a 10-wicket victory over USA.

Chasing the target of 116 runs given by USA, England completed the target without losing any wicket in 9.4 overs.

Captain Jos Buttler scored 83 runs in 38 balls with aggressive batting for England. Phil Salt also scored 25 runs.

After losing the toss, USA batted first and scored only 115 runs in 18.5 overs. England’s bowler Chris Jordan took four wickets with a hat-trick in the 19th over while bowling USA out.

After this victory, England has 4 points in 3 games in Group 2 of the Super Eight and has confirmed its position in the semi-finals by climbing to the top position. After the same defeat, the US has been eliminated from the Super Eight after losing the same match.

Similarly, from this group, the winner of the match between West Indies and South Africa on Monday morning will reach the semi-finals.
