Nepal wins T20 series against Ireland Wolves

Nepal wins T20 series against Ireland Wolves. In the second match completed on Tuesday, Nepal defeated Ireland Wolves by 71 runs and won the series by 2-0.

Chasing the target of 199 runs given by Nepal, Ireland Wolves scored 127 runs in 18.3 overs. For Ireland Wolves, Stephen Doheny scored 26 runs while Morgan Topping scored 21 runs, Cade Carmichael scored 18 runs while Ross Adair scored 17 and captain Neil Rock also scored 17 runs.

Likewise, Nepali bowlers Sompal Kami and Kushal Malla took 3 wickets each, while Karan KC, Kushal Bhurtel and Bibek Yadav took one wicket each.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Nepal batted first and scored 198 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.

For Nepal, Gulshan Jha scored 46 runs while Kushal Malla scored 34 runs, Anil Shah scored 12 runs, Kushal Bhurtel scored 25 runs, Aasif Sheikh scored 11 runs, Rohit Paudel scored 33 runs, Sandeep Jora scored 21 runs and Bibek Yadav scored 7 runs.

Similarly, Matthew Foster of Ireland Wolves took 3 wickets, Ben White took 2 wickets and Fionn Hand and Gavin Hoey took one wicket each.

This was the last home game for Nepal before ICC T-20 World cup 2024. Now Nepal national cricket team will travel to India for T20 Friendship Cup with India’s Gujarat and Baroda at Vapi, Gujarat, India. This T20 Cup will be a triangular series from March 31 to April 7. Nepal will be playing this Friendship Cup match as a preparation for the upcoming T20 Cricket World Cup.
