ACC Premier Cup : Nepal reaches semi-final
After defeating Hong Kong by 2 wickets Nepal won the third consecutive victory in the tournament.
Chasing the target of 115 runs given by Hong Kong, Nepal achieved the target by losing 2 wickets in 12.2 overs.
For Nepal, Aasif Sheikh scored 40 runs while Kushal Bhurtel scored 32, captain Rohit Paudel scored 25 unbeaten runs and Sandeep Jora scored 19 unbeaten runs.
Earlier, Hong Kong lost the toss and batted first. This match has been played 18-18 overs after being affected by rain.
For Hong Kong, Anshuman Rath scored 34 runs while Zeeshan Ali scored 14 runs, captain Nizakat Khan scored 12 runs and Ehsan Khan scored 11 runs.
Abinash Bohora took the most 3 wickets for Nepal while Lalit Rajbanshi and Dipendra Singh Airee took 2 each and Karan KC took one wicket.
After this win, Nepal has 6 points in 3 matches in Group A and Nepal is in the top position. In addition, Nepal’s trip to the semi-finals has also been confirmed.
