Nepal Super League NSL begins
The second edition of Franchise Football Nepal Super League (NSL) is starting today from Friday.
All the matches of the tournament will be held at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwa=or, Kathmandu. In the opening match of the tournament, former winners Kathmandu Razors and Sporting Illm FC will play on Friday. The game will start at 6 pm.
The teams of the competition organized by Nepal Sports and Event Management Company have been formed from 9 cities of Nepal.
The competition is Dhangadhi FC, Butwal Lumbini FC, Chitwan FC, Kathmandu Razors, Lalitpur City FC, Pokhara Thunders, Sporting Illm, Jhapa FC, Birgunj City FC.
The first edition of NSL was launched in 2021. Due to internal politics within ANFA, the second edition is going to be held after two years. It was started in a closed stadium when Nepal was under complete lockdown due to the spread of the Covid virus.
The organizers have got the opportunity to hold the second edition in the presence of the audience. The organizers have expected to return the audience to football from the NSL. In the opening of the second edition, some entertaining performances have been put on.
