Nepal U-19 lost by 1 run, Afghanistan won the series before the final match
The Afghanistan U-19 team has defeated Nepal in the second match as well. Chasing the target of 169 runs set by Afghanistan, Nepal was all out for 167 runs in 49.3 overs, losing by one run.
Although the umpire initially called a no-ball on the third ball of the 49th over, after Afghanistan appealed for a run-out, the umpire changed his decision and gave out Nepal’s last batsman, leading to a one-run defeat. Nepal’s batsman Shahil Patel top-scored with 64 runs, while Abhishek Tiwari and Darsh Sunar scored 21 runs.
Earlier, Afghanistan, who had won the toss and batted first, were all out in 50 overs and scored 168 runs. With this, Afghanistan has won the three-match series 2-0, one match ahead of schedule. The final match of the series will now be played on April 9.
