IPL 2024 : Sunrisers Hyderabad beats Chennai Super Kings

Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This is Chennai’s second loss in a row, having previously lost to Delhi.

Chasing the target of 166 runs given by Chennai, Sunrisers Hyderabad achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 18.1 overs. Aiden Markram scored the highest 50 runs of 36 balls for Sunrisers Hyderabad .

Abhishek Sharma also played a satisfying knock of 37 runs in just 12 deliveries. Travis Head scored 31 , Shahbaz Ahmed scored 18 while Heinrich Klaasen remained unbeaten on 10 and Nitish Kumar Reddy on 14 runs.

Moeen Ali took the highest 2 wickets for Chennai Super Kings. Deepak Chahar and Maheesh Theekshana got 1-1 wicket each.

After losing the toss Chennai started batting first and scored 165 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.

Shivam Dubey scored the highest 45 runs off 24 balls for Chennai Super Kuings. Ajinkya Rahane 35, Ruturaj Gaikwad 26, Daryl Mitchell 13 and Rachin Ravindra were out for 12 runs while Ravindra Jadeja 31 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni remained unbeaten for 1 run. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shahbaz Ahmed, T. Natarajan , Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat took 1 wicket each for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

After this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad has 4 points with 2 wins and 2 losses in 4 matches and is in fifth place of the table, while Chennai also has 4 points with 2 wins and 2 losses in 4 matches and is in third place.
