20 national women cricketers selected for second phase of camp
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has selected 20 players for the second phase of the closed camp to select the team to play in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers.
Earlier, 26 Nepali women players were invited to the closed camp, but 20 players were selected, leaving 6 out.
CAN has selected Indu Burma, Rubina Chhetri, Sita Rana Magar, Samjhana Khadka, Kabita Joshi, Riya Sharma, Somu Bista, Rachana Chaudhary, Kabita Kunwar, Rajmati Airee, Sana Parveen, Ishwari Bista, Roma Thapa, Soni Pakhrin, Bindu Rawal, Laxmi Saud, Manisha Upadhyaya, Kajol Shrestha, Ruby Poddar, and Pooja Mahato have been invited to the second phase camp.
Ten countries are participating in the Global Qualifier, which is being held in Nepal from January 12 to February 2. The top four out of the 10 will qualify for the Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in England in June 2026
