NPL: Karnali Yak’s first win, Karnali beats Chitwan Rhinos
Karnali Yaks have won their first match under the Nepal Premier League (NPL). In the first match on Friday, Karnali defeated Chitwan Rhinos by 6 wickets.
Pursuing the target of 131 runs given by Chitwan, Karnali achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 19.5 overs.
For Karnali, Shikhar Dhawan scored 45 runs while Chadwick Walton scored 30 runs.
Chitwan, who had lost the toss and batted first, scored 130 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. For Chitwan, Ravi Bopara scored 59 runs while captain Kushal Malla scored 23 runs.
Similarly, Karnali bowler Bipin Sharma took 3 wickets and Zeeshan Maksud took 2 wickets. This is Karnali’s first win in the third match and Chitwan’s first loss in the third match.
