Portugal won the UEFA Nations League
Portugal has won the UEFA Nations League title. In the final match held last night, they defeated Spain 5-3 in a penalty shootout. After the game ended 2-2 after the scheduled 90 minutes, an extra 30 minutes were played. After no goals were scored in extra time, the game was decided by penalties.
Alvaro Morata missed a penalty for Spain. Earlier, Nuno Mendes and Cristiano Ronaldo had scored one goal each for Portugal, while Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Oyarzabal scored one goal each for Spain.
With this, Portugal has won the UEFA Nations League title for the second time. Previously, Portugal had won this title in 2019.
