India beats Afghanistan in the first T20 I series
India started the T20I series against Afghanistan with a win. In the first match of the series, India defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets.
Chasing the target of 159 runs given by Afghanistan, India achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 17.3 overs. In India’s win, Shivam Duve scored an unbeaten 60 runs while Rinku Singh scored an unbeaten 16 runs.
Similarly, Tilak Varma scored 26 runs, Shubman Gill scored 23 runs, and Jitesh Sharma scored 31 runs. Similarly, captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for zero. Similarly, Afghanistan’s bowler Mujeeb Ur Rehman took 2 wickets and Azmatullah Omarzai took one wicket.
Earlier, after losing the toss, Afghanistan scored 158 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Mohammad Nabi scored 42 runs for Afghanistan, Azmatullah Omarzai scored 29 runs, captain Ibrahim Zadran scored 25 runs, Rahmatullah Gurbaz scored 23 runs.
Likewise, Indian bowlers Mukesh Kumar and Aksar Patel took 2 wickets each while Shivam Duve took one wicket.
After this win, India has taken a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series. Now the second match of the series will be played on Sunday.
