ACC Premier Cup : Nepal beats Saudi Arabia

Nepal defeated Saudi Arabia by 6 wickets in the last match of group stage under ACC Premier Cup. This match was played at 8-8 overs due to the rain on the pitch last night.

Chasing the target of 74 runs given by Saudi Arabia, Nepal achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 7.2 overs. For Nepal, Gulshan Jha scored 32 runs while Dipendra Singh Airee scored 17 runs and captain Rohit Paudel scored 16 unbeaten runs.

Saudi Arabia, who lost the toss and batted first, lost 7 wickets in 8 overs and scored 73 runs.

After this victory, Nepal has won all four games in Group A and reached the semi-finals with 8 points. Now Nepal will play against the runner-up of Group B in the semi-finals.

With this defeat, Saudi Arabia is out of the competition. With the defeat of Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong became the runner-up from Group A and reached the semi-finals. Hong Kong will play against the winner of Group B in the semi-finals. The last match of the group stage of Group B is also taking place today.
