Nepal lost 3-0 to Jordan

Nepal lost to Jordan 3-0 in the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023. With this loss, the possibility of Nepal being selected in the World Cup has ended.

Jordan scored one goal in the first half and added two more in the second half at the Jaber Al Ahmed International Stadium in Kuwait. Baha Faisal scored two goals for Jordan. He scored from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute of the game and from a free-kick in the 48th minute.

Yazan Al Arab scored for Jordan in the 67th minute of the match. After this match, Nepal has added 6 points with 2 wins and 5 losses in 7 matches played so far under the joint selection of FIFA World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023 and Nepal is in the fourth place in the group.

After this victory, Jordan has risen to the second place with 13 points in 6 games. Similarly, Australia is at the top of the group with 15 points, while Kuwait is at the third position with 10 points in 6 games. Now, Nepal will play its next World Cup qualifier on June 11 against Australia in Kuwait.
