Nepal’s winning start in SMS Friendship Cup
Nepal has made a winning start in the Friendship Cup. In the first match of the cup, Nepal defeated Gujarat Cricket Association by 8 wickets.
Chasing the target of 99 runs given by Gujarat, Nepal achieved the target by losing 2 wickets in 15.2 overs.
Anil Shah scored 32 runs and captain Rohit Paudel scored 33 runs for Nepal.
Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Gujarat got all out and scored 98 runs in 18.2 overs.
For Gujarat, Rudra Patel scored 23 runs while Hemang Patel scored 20 runs, Saral Prajapati scored 17 runs and Abhishek Desai scored 11 runs.
Nepali bowler Gulshan Jha took the most 4 wickets, while Karan KC took 3 wickets and Sompal Kami took one wicket. Now Nepal will play their next match against Baroda on April 2, while they are scheduled to play against Gujarat on April 3 and Baroda on April 5. Similarly, the top two teams will play the final on April 7.
