Nepal lost to Namibia by 2 wickets
Namibia defeated Nepal by 2 wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 match at TU ground on Wednesday. Nepal lost to Namibia for the second time in a row.
Chasing the target of 169 runs given by Nepal, Namibia achieved the target by losing 8 wickets in 40 overs.
Earlier, after losing the toss, Nepal batted first and scored 168 runs in 37.1 overs.
Aasif Sheikh scored a career-high 58 runs for Nepal. Similarly, Kushal Malla scored 36 runs, Bhim Sarki scored 26 runs and Kushal Bhurtel scored 18 runs. Similarly, captain Rohit Paudel, Anil Shah and Dev Khanal got out for zero, while Dipendra Singh Airee scored 6 runs, Sompal Kami scored 5 runs and Karan KC scored 12 runs.
Namibian bowlers Bernard Scholtz and Jan Nicol Loftie- Eton took 4 wickets each. Bernard Scholtz became the player of the match
After this win, Namibia has 4 points in 3 matches in League-2, while Nepal has suffered its second defeat in 3 matches.
