ICC World Cup League-2 begins from today, Nepal will face Namibia in the first match

The cycle series of ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 (2023-2027) is starting from today. As part of the selection process for the Cricket World Cup to be held in 2027, the first series is being held in Kathmandu from today.

ICC had started the process in this format before (2019-2023) to be selected for the Cricket World Cup. 8 countries are playing in League-2. Including Nepal, the Netherlands, Namibia, Canada, Oman, Scotland, UAE and America are there.

According to ICC, the top 4 teams in League-2 will be selected in the World Cup qualifiers, while the 4 countries behind will also have the opportunity to be selected in the World Cup.

The 2023-2027 cycle of Cricket World Cup League-2 is starting from Nepal. From today, Nepal along with Namibia and the Netherlands are starting the triangular series in Kathmandu.

Today, in the first match, Nepal will face Namibia at TU ground. This game is happening from 9:15 AM according to Nepali time.

The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) announced two changes in the team announced for this series on Wednesday. Anil and Dev, who performed well in the one-day series against Canada, have been included in the League-2 team by CAN. Can has left out Rijan Dhakal and Arjun Saud and included Anil and Dev in the team.

Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee , Karan KC and Gulshan Jha will also return to the team in League-2.

Nepal Squad: Rohit Paudel (captain), Aasif Sheikh, Dev Khanal, Anil Shah, Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Aarif Sheikh, Pawan Sarraf, Bhim Sarki, Dipendra Singh Airee, Gulshan Jha, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Lalit Rajbanshi and Surya Tamang.
