ICC CWC T-20 : Heartbreak for Nepal, Nepal lost against South Africa by a narrow margin

Nepal lost to South Africa by just one run. Chasing the target of 116 runs given by South Africa, Nepal lost by one run after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs and scoring only 114 runs.

Opener Aasif Sheikh scored 42 runs off 49 balls for Nepal while Anil Shah batted fully and scored 27 runs off 24 balls. Similarly, Kushal Bhurtel scored 13 runs while captain Rohit Paudel was dismissed for zero. Similarly, Dipendra Singh Airee scored 6 runs.

Similarly, South African bowler Tabraiz Shamshi took 4 wickets and captain Aiden Markram and Anrich Nortje took one wicket each.

South Africa lost the toss and batted first and scored 115 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.

For South Africa, Reeza Hendricks scored 43 runs while captain Aiden Markram scored 15 runs, Tristan Stubbs scored 27 unbeaten, Quinton de kock scored 10 runs.

Dipendra Singh Aree took 3 wickets with brilliant bowling. Dipendra gave away 21 runs in 4 overs and took 4 wickets. Kushal Bhurtel also bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets. He took 4 wickets with 19 runs in 4 overs. With this defeat, Nepal’s Super Eight chances are over. Now Nepal is playing another match against Bangladesh next Monday morning. South Africa’s group stage match is over.
