NPL : Janakpur Bolts winning start

Janakpur Bolts have made a winning start in the Nepal Premier League 2024.

Janakpur started victoriously by defeating Biratnagar Kings by 8 wickets in the opening match at TU Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Chasing the target of 128 runs given by Biratnagar, Janakpur completed the target in 15.2 overs.

In Janakpur’s win, Lahiru Milantha scored a record 75 runs. He hit 9 fours and 3 sixes off 53 balls.

Similarly, Harsh Thaker remained unbeaten by 29 runs. Before that, opener Anil Shah scored five runs while another opener Aasif Sheikh was dismissed for zero runs.

For Biratnagar, Pratish GC and Chris Sole took one wicket each.

Before that, Biratnagar Kings, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 127 runs after losing all the wickets in 19 overs.

After losing the toss and being invited to bat at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Biratnagar scored 127 runs after losing all wickets in 19 overs.

Matin Guptel top scored with 55 runs for Biratnagar. He hit 7 fours and 1 six off 43 balls. Lokesh Bam was out scoring 5 runs.

Similarly, Aqib Ilyas 15, Nicholas Kirton 9, Basir Ahmed 7, Sandeep Lamichhane 7, and Pratish GC were dismissed with 2 runs.

Lalati Rajvanshi took 3 wickets for Janakpur, Kishor Mahato and Harsh Thakar took 2 and 2 wickets, respectively, and Mohammad Mohisan took 1 wicket.
