Afghanistan qualified for the ICC U-19 World Cup after the match was abandoned

Afghanistan has qualified for the ICC U-19 World Cup. After the decisive match between Nepal and Afghanistan in the Asia qualifiers was cancelled due to rain, Afghanistan has qualified for the ICC U-19 World Cup to be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia in 2026, finishing on top based on run rate.

Although Nepal remained undefeated in the competition, it failed to qualify for the World Cup after falling behind in run rate.

Although efforts were made to resume play at the Lower Mulpani Cricket Ground after the rain stopped, the match referee decided that the game could not occur after inspecting the ground at 2 pm.
