Lumbini Lions jersey revealed

Lumbini Lions Club has released the jersey for participating in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The special guest Ani Choying Drolma, the club’s brand ambassador Rajesh Hamal, and marquee player Rohit Paudel unveiled the jersey from Mayadevi Temple in Lumbini on Saturday. The jersey is designed to reflect the local culture. The dark blue jersey has a golden border and the aggressive avatar’s lion head logo on the left side. Known as the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini is a sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal and is also a World Heritage Site. Lumbini is one of the world’s major holy places, which the Buddha advised his followers to visit. Speaking at the jersey unveiling event, Chief Guest Ani Choing Dolmazyu said, “Today, the jersey of our Lumbini Lions has been officially launched, I am very happy about it. Just as Lord Buddha has played a role in spreading peace in the minds and hearts of all the people around the world, in the same way, Lumbini Lions wishes to be able to make everyone feel a sense of victory and pride in their minds.”

Speaking at the Jersey public event, Lumbini Lions Club Brand Ambassador Rajesh Hamalju said, “Cricket has acted as a bridge to connect the Nepali mind. Cricket has brought people of every class, age, and creed together. Passion, teamwork and determination are what unite every cricketer and cricket lover and I personally find these qualities essential.

While unveiling this Lumbini Lions jersey today, I feel that this jersey is not only the identity of the club but also a reflection of the hard work, and perseverance of our cricketers and the unwavering support of cricket lovers. I am very excited to be able to observe the talent of young cricketers closely by connecting with Nepal Premier League and all Nepali cricket through Lumbini Lions Club.

Similarly, the President of Lumbini Lions Ishwar GC said, “Today we have proudly released the Lumbini Lions’ jersey from Lumbini. We have designed this jersey to capture the spirit of all Lumbini residents and the historical and cultural significance of Lumbini. The blue color carries the feeling of peace and prosperity of the entire Nepal, while the golden color represents the unbroken lamp within Lumbini. Also, since the color of the lion is golden, there is a fragrance in the gold.
