South Korea has made a winning start to the World Cup, defeating the Czech Republic 2-1 in a Group A match that concluded on Friday morning. 

Hwang In-beom and Oh Hyun-gyu scored one goal each for South Korea. Similarly, Ladislav Krejci scored one goal for the Czech Republic. South Korea defeated the Czech Republic 2-1 in the Group A match held on Friday morning. 


The first half ended goalless, with the Czech Republic taking the early lead through Krejci’s goal in the 59th minute. However, Byom equalized for South Korea in the 67th minute. Then, Gueye, who came on as a substitute, scored in the 80th minute to give South Korea the win.

South Korea will now play their next match against Mexico on June 19, while the Czech Republic is scheduled to play their next match against South Africa on June 18.
