Gujarat Titans into the final of IPL 2023
Gujarat Titans have reached the finals of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the second qualifier Gujarat defeated Mumbai Indians by 62 runs and reached the final of IPL.Chasing the target of 234 runs given by Gujarat, Mumbai scored 171 runs in 18.2 overs and won the match by 62 runs.
For Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 runs while Tilak Varma scored 43 runs. Similarly, Cameron Green scored 30 runs. Other Mumbai batsmen failed to score runs in double figures. Gujarat bowler Mohit Sharma took the most 5 wickets. Mohit took 5 wickets for 10 runs in 2.2 overs. Mohammad Shami and Rashid Khan took 2 wickets each while Josh Little took one wicket.
Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Gujarat scored 233 runs losing 3 wickets in 20 overs. Shubman Gill played a century of 129 runs for Gujarat. This is Gill’s third century in the IPL this season. He scored 129 runs by hitting 7 fours and 10 sixes while playing 60 balls. Similarly, Sai Sudarshan scored 43 runs, Hardik Pandey scored 28 runs, Wriddhiman Saha scored 18 runs and Rashid Khan scored 5 runs.
Mumbai bowlers Akash Madhwal and Piyush Chawla took one wicket each. With this win, Gujarat will now play Chennai Super Kings in the final. Gujarat, who are playing their second season, have reached the final for the second time in a row. Gujarat is also the defending champion of IPL. Now the final match will be played on Sunday.
