Lumbini Province wins the Wai-Wai Under-19 National Cricket Tournament
Lumbini Province beats Sudurpaschim Province by 113 runs to win the Wai-Wai Under-19 National Cricket Tournament. Following the 213-run target set by Lumbini Province at the TU International Cricket Ground, Sudurpaschim Province lost all their wickets for 99 runs.

Lokesh Bam top scored for Far West with 25, Khadak Bohara with 21, Sher Malla with 15 and Narayan Joshi with 11. Left-arm spinner Ajay Chauhan took 5 wickets in Lumbini’s bowling . Durgesh Gupta took 3 wickets (9-3-19-3) and Mohammad Hussain took 2 wickets (8-1-33-2). Lumbini, , lost all its wickets in the stipulated 50 overs and scored 212 runs.

Lumbini’s skipper Dev Khanal top-scored with 70 off 95 balls with five fours and four sixes. Similarly, Bishal Bikram KC contributed 51, Durgesh Gupta 32 and Prajwal Thapa 24 runs. After Akash Tripathi was dismissed in the first over, captain Dev Khanal and Prajwal Thapa shared 79 runs for the second wicket.
After Akash Chand dismissed Prajjwal and Dev, Bishal Bikram KC scored a half century under pressure to lead Lumbi to a challenging total. In the end, Durgesh Gupta scored 32 runs and Lumbini’s total crossed 200 runs. Lumbini was at the top of the table in the league stage and reached the final while Far West reached the final as the runner-up.
