NPC wins the Pro Club Championship

Nepal Police Club has won the title of Nepal Pro Club Championship held in Birganj. In the final match held on Saturday, Nepal Police Club won the title by defeating Parsa-11 by 100 runs.

Chasing the target of 146 runs given by Nepal Police, Parsa was all out by scoring only 45 runs in 11 overs. Anil Shah scored the highest 13 runs for Parsa while other batsmen could not score runs in double figures. While destroying Parsa’s batting line, Police’s Sagar Dhakal took the most 4 wickets while Lalit Rajbanshi and Rashid Khan took 2 wickets each. Similarly, Karan KC and Sher Malla took one wicket each.

Earlier, after winning the toss and batting first, Police scored 145 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. For Police, Karan KC scored 40 runs off 17 balls while Arjun Saud scored 26, Shankar Rana 19, Dilip Nath 17 and captain Asif Seikh scored 16 runs.

Persa’s regular captain Sandeep Lamichhane did not play in this match. Sandeep was kept out of the team today after the Kathmandu District Court found him guilty of rape.
