Spain wins the FIFA World Cup 2026

Spain has won the 2026 FIFA World Cup title. The game between Spain and Argentina ended in a goalless draw after the regulation 90 minutes. Then, in the 106th minute of extra time, Spain’s Ferran Torres scored from a pass by Nico Williams. That goal proved to be the decider.

This is Spain’s second World Cup title. They had previously won the World Cup in 2010. Argentina won in 2022, but they did not win another title. France’s Kylian Mbappé won the Golden Boot after scoring the most goals in the tournament; he netted a total of 10 goals. Argentina’s Lionel Messi scored 8 goals.

Spanish midfielder Rodri was named the tournament’s best player and won the Golden Ball. US President Donald Trump presented the FIFA World Cup trophy to Spain’s captain, Rodri.
