Netherlands wins T20-I Series beating Nepal by 4 wickets
Nepal lost to the Netherlands by 4 wickets in the T-20I Series. Netherlands achieved the target of 185 runs given by Nepal at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur by losing 6 wickets in 19.3 overs. This is Netherlands first T20I series win away from home.

Michael Leavitt scored 54 off 29 balls and Sybrand Englebrecht scored 48 off 29 balls for the winning team. Vikramjit Singh scored 29 off 23 balls and Max O’ dwodd scored 22 off 23 balls. Tim van der Gugten, who hit two sixes and two fours in 5 balls, remained unbeaten on 21 runs. Kushal Malla of Nepal took 4 wickets.

Although the Netherlands were under pressure in the last period, Abinash Bohara made the game easy through the over bowled by Abinash Bohara. In that over, the Dutch team added 21 runs. The Dutch team needed 40 runs in the last 3 overs. After Abinash Bohara spent 22 runs in the 17th over of the game, the Netherlands suddenly returned to the game.

Nepal had given the Netherlands a target of 185 runs. Nepal captain Rohit Poudel won the toss at TU Cricket Ground Kirtipur and after the first batting decision, Nepal came into bat and scored 184 runs losing 8 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Aasif Sheikh scored 47 runs for Nepal.
While Gulsan Jha scored 34 runs, Rohit Poudel scored 25 and Kushal Mall scored 25/25 runs and opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 20 runs in 10 balls while Dipendra Singh Airee scored only 1 run.

On the bowling side, Netherlands’ Timm Van der Gugten and Michael Levitt, Fred Klaassen and Sybrand Engelbrecht took 2/2 wickets each. Michael Levitt was awarded with player of the match award for his contribution of 54 run & 2 wickets.
