India wins the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025
India has won the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup title. India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the final match held last night.
Chasing the target of 299 runs set by India, South Africa were all out in 45.3 overs and scored 246 runs. Earlier, after losing the toss and electing to bat first, India scored 298 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs.
With this victory, India won the Women’s Cricket World Cup for the first time. Similarly, South Africa, which reached the World Cup final for the first time, was satisfied with the runner-up finish.
India’s Shafali Verma, who scored 87 runs and took 2 wickets in the final match, was named Player of the Match, while India’s Deepti Sharma, who took the most wickets in the World Cup with 22 wickets and 215 runs, was named Player of the World Cup.
