IPL: Lucknow Super Giants stunned Chennai Super Kings
Lucknow Super Giants defeated Chennai Super Kings comfortably by 6 wickets.
Chasing the target of 211 runs given by Chennai, Lucknow achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 19.3 overs. Marcus Stoinis scored 124 unbeaten runs in Lucknow’s victory. Nicholas Pooran scored 34 runs, Captain KL Rahul got out scoring just 16 runs, Deepak Hooda scored 17, Devdutt Padikkal scored 13 and Quinton De kock went out for a duck.
Earlier, Chennai, who batted first, scored 210 runs with the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs with the help of captain Ruturaj Gaekwad’s 108-run century. Shivam Dube got out scoring 66 runs.
After this win, Lucknow has gained 10 points from 8 matches with 5 wins and 3 losses and has risen to the fourth position. Similarly, Chennai has 8 points with 4 wins and 4 losses in 8 matches and is in the fifth place in the points table.
