IPL : RR beats KKR in a thriller encounter
In an exciting match under the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 2 wickets. With the help of Jos Buttler’s century, Rajasthan chased down the target of 224 runs in 20 overs, which is equal to the most successful run chase in IPL history.
Earlier, RR had chased down a target of 224 runs against Punjab in 2020. Rajasthan won the toss and elected to bowl at the Eden Garden Stadium in Kolkata.
Kolkata scored 223 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Sunil Narine scored 109 runs off 56 balls. Rajasthan scored 224 runs for the loss of 8 wickets while playing the scheduled 20 overs.
Jos Buttler scored 107 not out in 60 balls. After this win, Rajasthan Royals are at the top of the points table with their sixth win in 7 matches. Rajasthan has 12 points. On the other hand, despite suffering their second defeat in 6 matches, Kolkata is in the second position with 8 points.
