India has announced the team to play in the Asia Cup T20. The Indian Cricket Board has announced the team to play in the Asia Cup under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav.
Test captain Shubman Gill has been made vice-captain for the Asia Cup. Rinku Singh has managed to make it to the team, while Shreyas Iyer has been overlooked this time, too.
The Indian team has four specialist batsmen and four all-rounders. There are two wicketkeeper batsmen in Jitesh Sharma and Sanju Samson, three specialist pacers, and two specialist spinners.
Indian Team: Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Shubman Gill (vice-captain), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma, Jaspreet Bumrah, Varun Chakraborty, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson, Harshit Rana, and Rinku Singh.
India is in Group A of the Asia Cup along with Pakistan, Oman and UAE. India will play their first match against the UAE on September 10, followed by their second match against Pakistan on September 14 and their third match against Oman on September 19.
