UEFA EURO 2020 : England’s victorious start
England have made a winning start to Euro 2020. England beat Croatia 1-0 at their home ground Wembley Stadium. Raheem Sterling’s goal in the 57th minute was decisive in his victory. This is the first time England have won their first game in a major tournament.
Fed by Kalvin Phillips from the heart of midfield, Raheem Sterling slotted the ball past a hapless goalkeeper. England threatened right from the start with Phil Foden hitting the woodwork inside five minutes. On the other hand, Croatia lacked sharpness in the final third and failed to mount any pressure on England.
