COPA America : Uruguay secures third place
Uruguay finished third in the Copa America. Uruguay won the third place by defeating Canada in the penalty shootout in the third place match held on Sunday morning. Uruguay defeated Canada 4-3 in the penalty shootout.
After the 90-minute match, both teams tied 2-2, and the game was decided by a penalty shootout. Luis Suarez saved Uruguay from defeat by scoring in injury time after 90 minutes of the game.
Before that, Rodrigo Bentancher scored in the 8th minute to give Uruguay an early lead. Similarly, after trailing by 1-0, Canada took a 2-1 lead with the goals of Ismail Kone in the 22nd minute and Jonathan David in the 80th minute of the game. With this loss, Canada has become the fourth.
