Oman secured semi final spot of ACC Premier Cup 2023
Oman reached the semi-finals of ACC Premier Cup 2023 by defeating Saudi Arabia. Oman defeated Saudi Arabia by 72 runs in the match completed on Wednesday at the TU Cricket Ground and confirmed their the semi-final spot.
Chasing the target of 367 runs given by Oman, Saudi Arabia scored 294 runs in 46.5 overs. Abdul Waheed scored the highest 95 runs for Saudi, while Saad Khan scored 78 runs, captain Hisham Sheikh scored 36 runs, Abdul Waheed scored 25 runs. Similarly, Oman’s bowler Bilal Khan took the most 4 wickets while Jay Odedra took 3 wickets. Similarly, Jeesham Maqsood took 2 wickets and Ayan Khan took one wicket.
Earlier, Oman, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 366 runs losing 6 wickets in 50 overs. For Oman, Jatinder Singh scored 88 runs while Mohammad Nadeem scored 71 runs, Shoaib Khan scored 68 runs and captain Zeeshan Maqsood scored 54 runs.
