Rabindra Chand took oath as Member-Secretary of the Karnali Provincial Sports Council
Newly appointed Member-Secretary of the Karnali Provincial Sports Council, Rabindra Chand, has taken the oath of office and secrecy.
Minister Ghanashyam Bhandari administered the oath to Member-Secretary Chand at a program organized at the Ministry of Social Development on Monday.
The provincial council of ministers meeting held on March 12 appointed Chand as the second member-secretary of the council. On the same occasion, Council Vice-Chairman Pramod Hamal and members Pawan Kumar Thapa, Pankha Bahadur Malla, Bhimakumari Bhusal, Gorkha Bahadur Shahi, and Kiran Kishor Sapkota also took the oath.
Chand has been appointed to the post of Member-Secretary, which has been vacant since December 2008. Earlier, the committee formed to select the member-secretary had conducted interviews on Magh 3 and recommended the names of three people to the government.
Among the recommended candidates – Rabindra Chand, Deepak Hamal, and Pramod Hamal – Chand had scored the highest score of 67.17 in the evaluation. Deepak Hamal scored 60.63, and Pramod Hamal scored 52.37.
Initially, 21 people applied for the post of Member-Secretary, out of which 10 were selected for interviews.
